Learning from the emerging future
In a next attempt to finish a MOOC type course, here is MIT's U.Lab - Transforming business, society and self. Professor Otto Scharmer explains in the introduction that most learning is about reflecting on past experiences. In leadership, often decisions have to be made about future events, and history has not always shown to be such a great predictor for future performance. Is there another way?
Scharmer proposes a framework that integrates systems thinking, innovation, leadership, and awareness that looks at these larger changes from the viewpoint of an evolving consciousness.
The lab makes available a process to help connect change maker, leaders, us, to this deeper source of learning.
